How to: Audio from Onkyo HT while playing from USB on Sony W80 TV

Hi all,
Like the title suggests, I have a query from the experts.
We recently bought a Sony 55" W950A TV and it is connected to our 4 year old Onkyo Home theater (forgot the model), It has 4 HDMI inputs.

I got a lot of 3D content and HD movies from the store where I bought the TV.
Now, is there any way I can obtain audio output from the Home Theater while playing from the USB port?
Right now it only plays from the TV speakers.

Does the Coaxial/Optical digital out cable transfer audio from any input source (Dth, Gaming console, BD player, USB ) to the output device (receiver)?

You will need to assign the optical port of avr to one of the hdmi or analog ports and switch input to that port.

Optical out of TV will transfer all audio from the tv.
