How to solder speaker cable with banana plug

I have QED reference xt 40 speaker cable and QED screwloc banana plug. How to solder it. Thickness of cable is high.

I have qed screwloc banana plug 4mm, however wire thickness is high. It not fitting inside plug. The video is posted is not qed screwloc

It says on the video package and he/ she has a 4mm cable screwed into it. There are screws in the plugs to hold it down.

You can try by trim few strands as to reduce the size as to fit into the plug.

Speaker cables are usually not soldered to lugs, they're usually screwed. Cut off some strands as suggested by Sunder.

Hi gowtham..connecting your bare wire to the speakers binding posts, is the best connection possible. Unless you face a scenario, where you often connect and disconnect cables, dont bother with banana plugs and spades otherwise.
