Hi,
I am getting some work (masonry and wood) done in my living room and planning to make it HT ready (for whenever I have moolah to buy the system).
It will be a shared living, dining and tv/movie watching. In the initial period it will also be used for music listening. Later the music will shift to a separate room (I'll post that question separately).
For now the plan is to put my stereo amp and two floorstanders in the room.
Please see two images attached with this post showing a top view and side view of the room. Room size is 23ftx15ft.
Here's what I need advise for:
* Are the speaker placements correct w.r.t furniture?
* How do I wire the rear speakers without having a mess of wires running here and there? (I have kids running around the house so I would prefer concealed wiring)

Thanks for any advise.

Can you post your SketchUp file so changes can be easily illustrated on it? Do you have carpet on the floor? Are those open windows at the side? What is that room in the corner at an angle? Does it have a door?

Here you go:
4shared.com - online file sharing and storage - download living.skp

>>Do you have carpet on the floor?
Nope. Vitrified tiles.

>>Are those open windows at the side?
If you face the TV while sitting on the couch, the windows/door are on the left

>>What is that room in the corner at an angle? Does it have a door?
The angle thing behind (left) the big couch is a stair case going up.
The angle thing in front (front-right) os the big couch is the entrance door.

Thanks.
