dont be afraid 220-110V units sell like peanuts even with very highQ make..that will be just 6$.
I have a converter(it does reverse 110 to 220 too at the flip of a switch) that does 100W i bought in 6$.

from my experience, a CD player is the last component one should buy from an unknown buyer...unless you have the DIY skills required to change lasers/transport mechanisms !
