Identify these speakers?

Hi folks,
I recently purchased a pair of powered vintage speakers for my son as he did not want an amp and speakers to cram his already crammed room. These speakers are branded V.A.L and there is no other details as someone painted the entire speaker and the manufacturer's details and model number are not available. I will post a few pics of this vintage speakers and they sound very good. Please help me identify them

The shape of the baffle is reminding me of Thiel speakers.
