Starting this thread to acknowledge folks here who helped me through my journey so far. I discovered on this forum what good sound could mean (or atleast rhe pursuit of it
) and also a lot of music too. This is where it all began and I am sure some of us had a similar trajectory with our discoveries.
Don't be afraid to sound like the "teachers pet" kind of a situation and do share your thoughts. Here"s my grammy acceptance speech...
@Rajiv on drivers, crossovers and all things altec. Always answered my questions. You made it easy for me.Thanks
@grindstone the coolest guy here. Beside the fact that he's been there and done it all, he took interest in my doings etc and I enjoy whatever little i have spoken to him so far. Flood his inbox with queries...just joking..actually...do that and if he replies you will be richer.
@vivek_r i found a buddy here on this forum. He's the boss man with everything harbeth and spendor way of things. And just a great guy and funny too.
@Nikhil have enjoyed our exchanges. Thanks so much.
@kartick thanks for all your help whenever we have spoken. I do appreciate it all.
@reubensm we haven't spoken much but your contribution to so many things here and like wise Joshua who isn't active anymore.
@Fiftyfifty boss man with my early days of learning jazz and what this music is. I still have a long way to go
@Jayant_S and @coaltrain Thanks
To all the ones I missed, i apologise. I am only talking about the people I have personally built a little rapport with. The list of boss members here is much longer we all know.
Don't read too much into any of this and the intent of this thread is to give a shout out to so many members here who have so much wealth of knowledge and aren't shy of sharing it. Be it in archival info or active members. I am sure you have interacted with members in similar ways, who the rest of us don't know at all. Please do share.
I know I am not alone who owes a lot to this wonderful forum. Thanks.
