I would like share some local music genre which falls under composition of Folk/Desi, with touch of Light classical.
Enjoy this Kannada presentations, sorry for the poor recording of video or audio, but this what we expect for Indian talents, where commercial aspect doesn't involve. But you can image how sounds in real, looking how the audience enjoining.

Plus in new generation singers(by Raghu and Vasu Dikshit brothers). This is not fusion off course.

Old Mysuru region is having rich heritage of Folk songs on (Local tribal gods) Male Mahadeshwara, Siddappaji, Manteswamy, Biligiri Rangaswamy, Nanjudeshwara etc..
Let us enjoy a small piece of this folk music presented by famous folk singer Mahadeva Swamy and team.

Maatibaani has been doing some good work bringing folk music to today’s listeners. They make it interesting without compromising on the essence.
