It’s the Denon UD M31 which i like best in my system and for my listening tastes.

What is your complete chain, you are using with Denon UD M31 ?

Am only into vinyl.

Turntable is EMT 930 in its own shock absorbing frame with the EMT 139 phono, completely restored to specs in Germany. Cartridge is TSD 15. The EMT 930 replaced a EMT 950 which i was using with a Thoress phono

Speakers are Axiom 80 in a Goodmans cabinet with ARU. This speaker replaced a JBL 4343.

The amps that i have owned in the last 7 years are David Berning custom amp using 6b4g tubes, Quicksilver, Croft, Thoress EHT, Thoress F2A, Sunvalley 1616 300b, Aurorasound HFSA01, Dynaco SCA35 restored by Ralph at Atmasphere.

My elder brother uses a simple 7500/- bucks DNM amplifier purchased in 2008. He uses my TQWT speakers with the Russian driver with this amplifier. He plays spotify from laptop connected to a 6000/- bucks amazon basic DAC. It can easily beat any 10L+ setup for the sound stage and dynamics. Anybody dare to take the challenge are welcome

No specific reason. I like EMT and Denon DD. Since EMT 950 was my second EMT DD, I wanted to explore idler. EMT 930 and Garrard 401 were my top choices. Decided to give 930 a shot first.

I am fine with either a EMT 950 or a 930.
