I would like to view my music with visualization and also something having album-artwork.
I therefore am planning to buy a laptop. Actually a netbook.

What I would like to know is if I can integrate this with my AC receiver. ?
Which AV receiver suports this ?

Also my other integration would be :
1) LCD TV
2) DVD Player - need to buy
3) AV Receiver - need to buy
4) Speakers (either 2.1 or 5.1 , .. but nothing beyond 5.1) - have 2 speakers ... but can buy more
5) Should have HDMI option

Last but not least...
6) It should have support for my Portable hard-disk (Mass-Storage Device) Capability. ie. I have a 250GB disk having movies and music

So for point (6) which AV Receiver can I use ? Even if DVD player can support it.. then its fine.

buddy netbook and laptop unless you have the best of class with spdif out ..

will not be able to do justice to your music..

rather build a cpu for half the price of a netbook .. add a sound card and u are ready to go.. use your lcd as the monitor.. watch hd movies and browse internet with wifi keyboard n mouse..

and lots more.. and use it as your download rig as well.....

still it your intrest..

yes you will be able to use netbook and laptop with your avr .. try to get a laptop with spdif and connect it to your avr
