Dear All,

Any idea which company first invented/designed and marketed the 2.1 Speaker System and in which year. Is it the Bose AM5 introduced in 1987 with the acoustimass module.

Thanks.

I think it was Ken Kreisel president of Miller & Kreisel Sound Corp. (M&K), who pioneered the crossover bass managed satellite/subwoofer speaker concept in 1970 that laid the groundwork for the home theaters of today. It was used in the studio by Walter Becker for the Steely Dan's (Pretzel Logic) album in 1973. There is plenty about it on the web
