Is Samsung stopping producing plasma?

I spoke with Samsung customer care.

Life span of plasma 80000 hours
Samsung will produce plasma.

This is what the customer care guy told

Hi Agriz, news is that Samsung has already planned to stop production of plasmas and they will not be avlbl next year. That's why we are getting good deals on these panels. why don't you buy from Snapdeal, the prices are very good. But only buy on cash on delivery, snapdeal was not serving my location, hence went to RD. But again if you are buying plasma or for that matter any panel surely take the additional warranty.
