is sony bdp s1500 a good blueray disc player?

Hi,

I am planning to buy a blueray disc player for my yamaha rxv 583 AVR. So as per my budget I am thinking of buying sony bdp s1500. so just wanted to know if this is worth to buy? Please let me know your opinions.

Flagship players are Oppo, Pioneer (Elite Series), Marantz, Denon, Cambridge Audio, etc......

I would suggest you check all the required features you would like to see in a Blu Ray player and take a call......I still use a BDP LX 55 (Pioneer) which is great!

Philips, Panasonic also make good players......

Bottomline, it is all about preferences and connectivity.....go window shopping and audition where possible to decide.
