Is TH8A gear shifter worth it?

My children are currently using ps4+trustmaster t150 racing wheel and they have "project cars2", grandtourismo, The crew wildrun edition, NFS payback, two playstation plus downloaded games and Driveclub, F1 2016. I have the option of buying them Th8a gear shifter but it costs a ridiculous 18k. Still I was thinking of placing that order as one classmate of theirs has recommended it and I thought of giving them a birthday gift.

My question is, is it in anyway a good addition to the steering wheel?

Personally, I wouldn't add additional accessories to an entry-level wheel.

I would rather get the T300 first, which would be a significant quality upgrade.

I already placed order. Will it not work well with t150?
