Is the local cable set top box good enough?

For my new TV I was thinking of having the digital box that is available through the local cable guy. I have a digicable connection. Is this good enough?

I know I should actually go for HD DTH connection but just wanted to check if this is ok? Anyone out here who has this kind of setup?

I have used both. If you do not want HD channels, then local cable 'with set-top box' is fine! Though personally I prefer DTH.

I am using the local cable set top box since some years now and its just plain ok. No frills attached. More ever they are mostly china made so hang up at times forcing a reset from time to time. I have used 3 different brands in the last 4 yrs and all with the same outcome. Just my 2 cents.

I would definately suggest a HD Box due to its far superior quality, features and also the number of HD channels are increasing.

for 46 LED.. you should go for a HD DTH for you will be able to enjoy the tv ... isin't that what you paid for.. till a 32 incher its should have been fine..

on a 46in 1080p.. cable box wont do justice to your tv.. and you wont enjoy it either. on the other side yes it will increase your monthly expense... but ...there is always a .....

go for the HD DTH my suggestion...
