I have a setup in which the video signals from Tata sky+ are routed to Denon 1910 AV receiver with a component cable which is then connected to Samsung LCD thru' HDMI cable.

I am experiencing a problem in which the TV blanks for 2 - 3 seconds whenever there is a bright light (especially white) in any of the TV pictures being transmitted. The TV picture comes back on its own. I have not seen this problem occur when the Tata sky+ is directly connected to the TV thru' a regular AV cable without the receiver which means the problem is with the way Denon is processing the TV signals or the set up.

Appreciate any help.

Instead of component, try with composite video interconnect and check whether problem still persists. I think your stb should be having hdmi also, so you can also try connecting hdmi.
Also, if there is setting to reduce inpuit signal level of video inputs, you can try reducing that.

WHY a question for you. Are Denon 1910 able to sending the audio signals to the speaker and only video to LCD/LED ? let me know .. also this support just pass through right ? no up scaling ..

The setup I was using (which avoids any such problem) :
- connect TS+ directly to TV with component
- connect TS+ to Denon 1910 using digital audio (co-axial)

You will get video directly on yr TV, and get digital quality sound via the Denon.

The STB does not have a HDMI output. How should I reduce the input level of signal input? Is it thru' the AV receiver or the STB?

Also, what is a composite video interconnect?

@Tanmoy
That is right....the Denon 1910 is able to sending the audio signals to the speakers and only video to LCD. I have disabled the upscaling as I thought that the blackouts were being caused by upscaling.
