Hey there i'm facing some issue with AVR 1311,

In fact, i have couple of devices linked to Amplifier like Blueray, Media HD etc.

They are connected with HDMI.

Issue is when i'm turning on amplifier it's working fine and displaying fine on TV. but after couple of hours of no use when i'm switching on again it's not finding devices display neither sound...
The only solution to have it back is to complete plug off the amplifier and plug on again... it's a bit disturbing

So if somebody have already faced this issue i'm all hearing :)
Maybe is it a manufacturer issue so i should go for warranty?

Thx for answers :)

Some of the receivers could have issues with the DSP processing and/or video processing. Since it is under warranty, call the company and get the unit serviced. Maybe the DSP board, needs to be changed.

Cheers

Hi Rockman, i own a similar setup with media player and setup box connected thru HDMI, but i dont see any issue at all. Using it for 4 weeks now. Also the only issue i have see is when you are playing a movie using BD player and you switch of the TV while playing, there is a pause in the Audio and audio plays back on the speakers after 2 secs. Other than that there are no issues.

I assume "after couple of hours of no use" means you are keeping it in standby.
Is TV and Bluray player / media player also in standby?
If you are using WD TV live, there are some known issues with its HDMI port.

Try only witth only HDMI source say Bluray media player. If the problem still persists, talk to the Denon support.

I think in my 1911 I also faced similar problem. Happens sometimes when I switch from a HDMI device to a COAXIAL connected device the source changes but the sound does not come through AVR. I have to then turn off the AVR via remote and then turn on again and one change I see on screen of the AVR is and additional display of the text "MAIN ZONE ON" which always guarantees that things are now working fine. I have slowly started to become accustomed to it.

After I posted the above link, my hdmi video out failed some time during july. None would output video but audio was fine. Contacted denon service, they checked and the prob was with video board.they replaced it for free:-)
