Is JBL CS480 a good choice for a first home theater.

I would like to have the best looking system on budget.

Is there anything else that looks better than this on the same price range.

Can I pair it up with Yamaha receiver.

Adding another one,

Harman Kardon HKTS-16WQ 5.1 Channel Package

White Color, matches the ceiling.

Priced in my budget. Any thoughts on this one.

20-25K Max for speakers.

A basic A/V receiver for 15K and probably a blu-ray player, sony or something for 6K.

Would prefer to have the speakers match and smaller in size. Will be wall mounted.
It is for my living room, around 300 sqft.

I am getting a 55 incher from LG. So I would like a nice system to match it.

Watching movies will be primary use.

Listening to music is rare.

My living room has a big french door, so not sure how much outside noise will affect.

I am also interested towards sound bars with wireless subwoofer. They look awesome and simple.

really interesting to know that looks more important than sound....to you

anyway then go for samsung or lg package within 23k......solid looks...sound ok.
tower speakers.....etc etc.....

Yes, I have spent a lot of money for interiors in my flat, so do not want ugly speakers. I am not a audiophile but just want a decent system.

If it is LG, Samsung, etc, I will stick with sound bars.
LG has a very good sound bar. Polk and new Yamaha 201 also seems good options for sound bar too.

Let me see what else is available.

in my opinion dont waste your money on looks.buy something that will be worth the money.
your total budget seems 40k...
make it 50k....and get a avr(denon 1612) around 30k and 2 bookshelves 20k....around 20k there are many bookshelves avilbale.....
and yes as you want the looks...they are all very nice finishing wooden or other...

buy rest speakers later.......when high in budget..

Thanks for helping me out, prosenjit. I will def take a look at Denon.
What do you think about Sony receivers. They seem to be feature packed.

I cannot do bookshelves. Too big. Got to be 5.1 system.
Primary purpose is movies.

noh sony lg samsung does not stand a chance in front of denon/marantz etc....
yes you will have a 5.1 system..my idea is getting step by step,as budget is tight now.
bookshelf speakers are not big...I think you are confusing with floorstanders...
check this link....Tsi 200 polk speakers
Profx - Advanced Audio Solutions

and this for denon 1612
Profx - Advanced Audio Solutions

all they are beutifully looking with superb sound......

^this is a complete 5.1 speaker package....but performance wise less than the step by step case....

I have decided to import all my HT stuff.

Little bit of background about myself, I used to work in company which was world's largest electronic retailer. So I get some discounts.

Just got an amazing deal on Pioneer VSK-821 receiver for $75+ tax. It seems it is 3D enabled, ipad compatible - does not seem to have bluetooth.
Amazon.com: Pioneer VSX-821-K 5.1 Home Theater Receiver, Glossy Black: Electronics

I had to choose between Denon 1513 which after discounts were $179. But I found it heavy.

Ok, now I need to get good pairing for the Pioneers.

Will do some research on speaks for cheapest price.

I found polk TL 150 5 speaker HT for $200. Don't think sub woofer was a part of it.

Yes, I understand.

In my home I have installed a 1000W to plug points in four different places (in wall) in one room to run American devices. I will put another 1000W for the living room too.

I recently spent a big chunk of money for whole electrical system revamp when I was renovating my apt.

Just found Klipsch Gallery speakers.

I think they are the perfect size and can replace the bookshelves and are wall mountable.

They might be the best looking speakers from Klipsch.

Will post more details on them soon.

Klipsch seems to have bad reviews for Gallery.

Now I am looking at Energy Take 5 Speaker system.
They seem to be the best 5 channel system.

I am thinking of pairing it with Pioneer SW-8 or Polk PSW10.
