klv 40ex500 vs la40b650

klv 40ex500 or la40b650 ?

Hi guys , I'm planing to get one either sony klv 40ex500 or samsung la40b650 . Can you guys tell me which of these have a better SD upscaling , I'll use my TV to watch 80% SD DTH TV and 20% movies from USB .

Well the sony EX500 has a better upscaler then the samsung,if you can buy them in the grey market you can get it for about 55k making it good VFM.

well..both are more or less same in PQ.. ex500 has slight edge on SD upscaling.. because of be3.. ex500 has matte screen so less reflections..

But...
since you mentioned.. 20% movies from USB.. I will recommend b650.. it can play HD movies (mp4, mkv etc) even from NTFS formatted HDDs..

This years sony models can play more formats like mp4 and divx,although still behind samsung in that regard.
