Kodi voice search (in YouTube add-on) in android tv question

Hello,

I did little bit search about this and read that nothing special I need to do make voice search work.
In YouTube add-on I go to Search -> New Search then the text box appears with cursor. Long press the OK button on remote and microphone appears blinking (as if its listening) but nothing I say is being printed back to text box.
In normal YouTube app voice search works fine on this TV.

Am I missing something?

Tv Model - Hisense A71F
Android Version - 9
Kodi version - 19.4

Today I got v20 installed and tried again, immediately got error not enough permissions (which earlier version was not throwing)
Went to android settings and gave microphone permissions to Kodi and it started working.
