Hi.. newby here without a heck of a lot of knowledge but one little problem which I hope someone on here can help me with.
My av receiver is Marantz NR1504 with attached external speakers and its video output via HDMI is to a Samsung HDTV .
Connected to the av rec. via HDMI is a DVD player, Cable TV modem and an Apple TV unit. All these work fine and I get audio through the speakers and video on the TV without any issues.
I have now attached my ASUS X550L laptop via its HDMI output to the av rec. but only get the video on the TV and no sound except on the laptop itself when I select the laptop connection on the av.. using the AUX slot. Everything else still works OK.
Can anyone through some light on this for me please.. thanks.
