LED TV (40-43 inches) recommendations for 30-40K?

Hi all

Looking to buy a new LED TV after my 43" Samsung Plasma TV stopped working recently (Needs panel change - might as well get a new TV).

Here are the specifications I am looking for:
- Budget 30 K - 40 K

- Size - 40 - 43 inches (Cannot go for 50 inches - 43 is the max size I can accommodate in my house)

- Looking at a TV that can at least somewhat match up to Plasma quality. My parents are used to Plasma now. Full HD ?

- Content that we watch - Sports primarily and then movies. Sports were awesome to watch on Plasma. So looking for a TV that can match plasma performance ( at least a bit)

- Sufficient HDMI and USB ports for connecting pen drive, chromecast and DTH

- TV should be able to play mkv, mp4 etc content from pen drive

- 3.5 mm output for connecting speakers

- NOT considering smart TVs

- Extended warranty will be helpful (My previous plasma TV died within 3 years)

1. Have you shortlisted any models, probably then members can advice you better

2. The current models at most have 2-3 HDMI ports and 1 USB.

3. MKV could be a tough one. I know Panasonic plays that format, Sony does not. Not sure of other brands.

4. What kind of speakers? If headphones then Ok. If not, then you should look at configurable RCA ports which can output Audio as Pre out to amplified speakers. Will give much better audio quality.

Hope this helped. Keep us updated. Am also looking to upgrade my 32" 5 Year old Sony.
