what a beauty, hope they come out with a more affordable version as there are going to be lot of enthusiasts out there who are really interested (similar to the Technics approach)
we can hope, but it is evident from most well designed objects that they involve rare talent, time and money.
With tight budgets we tend to choose utility over design
Pricing is always done for a target market based on expected margins, I guess being in the business they have that worked out
The chinese will have clone coming out am sure
and unlike the "i" devices there is no OS requirement.,

High end audio is crazy - Apple tax is crazier. When you combine them you get an LP12 that has rounded rectangles, a round switch and is suddenly 3X costlier
