Logitec z906 vs Yamaha YHT 196 :)

hey guys please let me know.. i want to buy a 5.1 Speaker System .

i liked 2 models 1 is Logitec Z906 and Yamaha YHT 196.

my room size is 15 x 10

please help me on this

I think your budget is around 20K only as you have selected these two only ??

buy onkyo 3400 at 24k ......or an int amp and 2 bookshelves.
logitech is toy..dont buy it.
yam 196 is a good system if geting under 20k.but it dont have dts hd ma..dolby tru hd decoding.dont matter anyway.
at low budget 2 channel int amp and bookshelf is much better sound than a under 25k avr +speaker package.

anyway for small room yam 196 or onk 3400 both good.
dont buy logitech toy model anyway

just grab it man..........just grab it.tell him you will use it one week.if no problem appears.you will pay it.
just grab it.amy member will suggest you that.11k........3300...coolest of the coolest.
even now in some showroom it is being sold at 23k....

and 3300 is just the previoss model of 3400.equally good.

and no offence intended......may I ask whats the reason for selling it at such low price.
I mean is not there any major break down??

Get the Onkyo 3300 for 11K. There is not much difference between 3300 and 3400. 3400 has 4 hdmi inputs while 3300 has only three.

Whatever you choose go for something with HDMI inputs (the more the better).

Rule out Logitech... anything with an AVR will trump it. BTW also rule out YHT-196... no HD audio.

I would vote for the Onkyo 3300 at 11K. Its a steal. If not then Onkyo 3500 or Yamaha YHT/269/298.

he bot 3400 , tats y he is ready to sell his old 3300... he said i bot just 1 n half year back only. but i want to know when this model released . so tat i can trust his words . 3300 n 3400 r both r look like same but woofer air exit hole in below of the woofer.. rest of all same

As all other members told Onkyo HT-S3300 is a good deal for Rs.11K. Just make sure everything works as expected. Go for it.

hey guys , flash news i came to know tat its 3200 not 3300

1) cannot decode HD audios
2) no 3D support
3) no ARC

Better look for other options.

yah...hd audio comes in picture while you play original bds or play a file with dts hd ma(too large file).........so in my opinion at 11k....a 3200 is also a very good deal.
