LP vinyl vs audio cd for old movies

It is my general observation, not particular to english or hindi music, that the final mix of LPs/vinyl tends to have enhanced 5000-10000 Hz audio spectrum, whereas the final mix of CDs tend to have enhanced 2500-5000 Hz audio spectrum.
General observation listening to many version of the same song/album.
The effect of perhaps the mixing engineer's expectation of what will appeal to which customer.

is it worth spending money ?

What's your existing turntable setup, you will need to have a fairly decent turntable , cart & phono to enjoy these Vinyls. Also Vinyl records of Old Hindi music have shot up in prices, worth or not is a question of your willingness to spend as they no longer are available for fair prices like pre 2020

Currently, maintaining a good vinyl setup requires a significant investment. You need a turntable, cartridge, phono preamp, and the records themselves. The records can be quite pricey, particularly vintage collectible albums, including those from Bollywood and international artists. If you're looking for a quick and easy setup to enjoy long listening sessions, vinyl might not be the best choice. Additionally, they require more careful handling and regular cleaning, among other things.

On the other hand, CDs are much simpler to manage than vinyl and generally offer better audio quality. While vinyl does have a wonderful sound, achieving that requires a higher-end cartridge and phono preamp, which can substantially raise your overall costs.

In my opinion, vinyl records are collectible items that do not require online advertisements or subscriptions. Additionally, obtaining a physical medium of my favourite artist, along with the vintage piece of art equipment displayed in my home, brings me joy.

The entire saregama catalog is 128 kbps mp3.

The situation in pre digital hindi music is real bad. People use hindi vinyl out of compulsion rather than choice.
Like I mentioned in my earlier post, if I cannot make out difference between 128 kbps mp3 and FLAC then it doesn't matter.
Of course there could be entirely other issues like poor mixing, mastering, on the 128 kbps mp3 version that Saregama catalogs ...

For excellent sound that won't break the bank, the 5 Star Award Winning Wharfedale Diamond 12.1 Bookshelf Speakers is the one to consider!
