That's a lovely score, JP (Japan Phonomotor Company) is one of those brands that is very niche and resides mostly in the minds of the turntable connoisseurs. Their decks were used in radio stations and TV studios. Is it a 100volt model?

No 240v I've oiled the motor and the bearing is packed with grease but it is running about 1 rpm too fast not much adjustment in the speed control

Is the belt its original belt or an after market belt? This aspect can have an impact on the rpm. Also please check out the pulley, These decks were mostly produced for the Japanese Market. If I recollect correctly, Japan operated on a dual frequency system wherein the Eastern Japan had a 50Hz supply where as Western Japan had a 60Hz power supply.

If it was 60hz it would be running about 5 rpm to slow maybe the belt is wrong
