m-Audio AV42 how to connect to MacBook Pro ?

I got this, after getting some recommendations.
Now do I connect this with my MacBook Pro ?

If you have a usb sound card then connect sound card to Mac pro and LR cable from sound card to speakers. If you dont have card then connect headphone out from Mac pro to speakers using audio cable which has one end as 3.5mm jack and at the other end LR connecters.

Confusing. Actually I don't see any 3.5 port in the both the boxes

It would be best to use a DAC or sound card between the laptop and the speakers.

Absolutely agree with @Naturelover, that RCA to 3.5mm adapter will work perfectly.
