Marantz 5014 or yamaha 685

I have zeroed on 2 recievers based on my budget. Yamaha rxv 585 with warranty and bill 54k. Marantz 5014 without bill and warranty 58k .

I need suggestion from the experienced users. Which would be a better choice and why? Is it worth taking risk with marantz(without bill)

My usage is 70-80% music. I am located at Hyderabad. Attaching my speakers ratings. Front Pioneer Fs52, centre C22 and surround BS22

Creating a new thread as previous thread was overwhelmed with power stabilizer discussion. I will be buying a servo stabilizer to support and keep the gears safe.

Sorry for hijacking. What would you recommend for music then ? I want to setup a 2.1 system for music. Any inputs ?

Yamaha suits best for music. There is one in the sale section. Else you can go for Marantz pm6006 or Denon PMA series.

You could look at integrated amps, like Yamaha, nad which have subout to connect a subwoofer
Others are marantz which is quite popular on the forum

If you are really into music and you buy an AVR and some day you listen to either your speakers or similar speakers driven by a stereo amp it will break your heart
so if you are really into music then pick up a stereo amp with sub out

I do watch movies. However currently with a 5 year old( who can't go to school or Nana Nani) and the type of content we have. I watch movies only when he is not around.

I had tried the NR1509 of Marantz for a short duration and owned a VX-479. Found the NR series to be better for music , the 5014 might be much better than the 1509 as its a premium series and is available at this price since its older generation discounted product.

Marantz SR 5014 has pre-outs for all channels. At any point of them, if you feel the need to add power amplifier, then Marantz makes a better choice.
