Marantz 6003 and speakers

Can you explain a bit more.
Haven't actually audiotioned the Marantz yet. Was going by the reviews I found.
Was going to focus my efforts on auditioning speakers.

Is Marantz cold and climical ?

No. marantz is not cold and clinical, but a bit too detailed.
to someone who prefers his music to be warm and smooth it is not recomended.

I prefer detailed sound but sometimes i wonder whether it would be better if my system is not as detailed, particularly with bright recordings.

Marantz CD6003 goes for 21K post bargaining in Mumbai with bill

I was reading the messages on the forum and noted the prices quoted for the CD6003. I got it for around 13k from singapore. Adding the airtravel cost of about 7k it will still cost less than the quoted prices. And thats if the trip is only for the CD player. The drawback is that the warranty is not valid here.
The other thing is about the speakers. I didn't notice anybody mention the Mezzo 2 morduant short. I found them extremely listenable with good enough base. The sound is a little too vibrant which may not be to everybody's liking. But the treble is really very sweet. They pair well with the Mrantzes.
