hey, i have the marantz sr6005.
i bought it to replace a very old onkyo.

my speakers arent very good(gonna upgrade them soon D), so i cant give a definitive anser on your questions, but they have improved the stereo imaging a lot.

in the usa price for 6005 has fallen to $680 (check amazon). that's like 30 k?

wonder if they are phasing it out.

In amazon prices keep falling and raising....and it is $670 now
That is the 'dealer discount'. MSRP is $1000. This is why if you go to one dealer he will 'offer' @ 100K, and another will say it is @80K and another 60K.

hey sorry, i got it from amazon for 1000 dollars.

my mom sneaked it past ustoms, so we didnt need to pay. dont tell anyone

i have a warranty(2years i think) but its only applicable in usa.
my mom goes there freq. so thats not (too) much of a problem
