Marantz CD 6003

Hi friends
i have peculiar problem with my CDP. Its RCA analoug out is given to Lyrita amp and coaxial is given to MArantz AVR5002. when i play audio cds they play well on both the systems but when i play a cd with Music in MP3 format or through USB there is no out put through the AVr but do get output through the Lyrita amp.
When i switch the analoug out to MArantz AVR all files including MP3 play well.
I tried getting an answer from the dealer but he coudnt explain
Please help!

Yes, MP3 source = NO digital output

Refer - caution below section "Connecting to a digital audio component", page 8 of User Manual.
