Hi,
thanks all for reading my post.
i got the MNZ PM75for a decent price during my short trip to india.checked with the sellers speakers, found ok,hence paid the money and took the amp. now need to bring with me to my living place, the max allowed weight by oman air is 30kg and the amp with packing comes around 22kgs,so done some sacrifice :sad::sad::sad::sad::sad: and kept the amp in my luggage.
unpacked the amp and found the amp was not damaged by the shipping, big relief.
not able to test the amp with speakers immediately, waited for weekend.
the amp is not having the side panels when i purchased, but i saw some vintage models with side rose wood panels and they looking classy.
had some spare side panels from sony non working amp, removed the side panels and made the holes asper its cover and fixed.
ok now coming to the point,,,,how it sounds.
my existing set up onkyo tx nr1000/integra dtr10.5 amp with jbl l 100t3 speakers, source sony bdp s 580/oppo bdp 83se.
marantz doesnt have dedicated sub out, hence i was not connected my sunfire subwoofer.
only two speakers were connected. i took the digital coaxial out from the sony bdp .actually i purchased the amp purely based on LEGENDARY PHILIPS TDA 1541A single crown DAC.sony is giving the digital out and all conversion is taking place in the amp using the tda 1541a.
selection of songs some usher ,some classic Telugu and latest Hindi songs.
the sound is excellent, i didnt expected the 100+100w amp will drive the jbl 12"woofers with that much ease.
the sound is punchy, the dac is doing an excellent job.the instruments seperation and the the nuances in the music is presented with utmost precision.now i understand the reputation of this 20+years dac.
the sound is warm and highly enjoyable.
the image is dead spot on,i am not sure may be the amp is doing magic or DAC.
I switch on loudness and suddenly bass and treble was coming on to my face, not liked the loudness function, hence turned it off,may be try later.
just kept the tone controls little +on both bass and treble.
it is replaces the my battle tank onkyo tx nr 1000/integra dtr10.5?
no never, the onkyo provides iron grip on the bass passages and the sound is completely different.
marantz got a sweet spot in my heart and joined in collection.
thanks for reading my post.
