IMO These are similar to:Please do keep in mind that they are 3500 and 4000 GBP i.e. 3.5 lakh and 4 lakh rupees for nicely polished wooden planks with polished feet. You can get brand new Tannoy Turnberrys (a pair of speakers instead of 1 wooden plank) at around 4 lakhs and you can easily keep a Mc mono block on each speaker... Absolute crap at the listed prices...
The same website also sells these:IMO These are similar to:
https://www.wilsonaudio.com/products/pedestal/pedestal, https://www.mcru.co.uk/product/critical-mass-systems-center-stage-footers/ etc etc. All costing ridiculous amounts with dubious benefits. I don't question the benefits (which in most cases is minor if you ignore all the hyperbole like game-changers, best in the world etc., these products may add, but the cost at which they are sold).
Cheers,
Sid
I don’t know about the snake oiliism here[...]
It’s not an audio product, but rather audiophile jewellery. When a Rolex can cost as much as it does, why not a branded lump of PUed teak wood/managing wood?
Exactly, this is not about subjectivism or objectivism but of having enough money that this price is peanuts !. For anyone who buys it is not about the sound anymore. go to any hobby/interest and there are ridiculously priced items which make no sense other than to show the power of $$$.I looked and can't find any direct claims about better audio performance.
In fact, from the product page (https://www.mcintoshlabs.com/products/furniture/AS125): "The AS125 Amplifier Stand is a perfect way to display your McIntosh monoblock amplifiers[...]"
For visual impact, only.
People buy for reasons other than mere functionality. It is what it is.
