Maybe so but the VU Meters are missing...the sort of pride of ownership one gets with the VU Meters is something else.. it looks gorgeous but too expensive for the additional watts and the vu Meters.

Completely agree. A McIntosh without VU meters is like a castrated bull.
It has all the power but doesn't look it

I wish they had a much subtler tone, rather than the shiny polished steel. Just can't get the image of Sunflame gas stove whenever I look at it.

The MA 252 is on demo with the distributor.. Hopefully should get a home demo soon by next weekend with the Tannoys.. Will post once I pick it up for an audition...

I can't get the Sunflame gas stove visual out of my head now But that might be the whole idea, tubes get warm enough to make tea and boil eggs!

I don't know why McIntosh changed a classic look!

I quite like it sir..I prefer the looks of the new 352 but thats more expensive and out of my budget...
