I am completely confused on what media player to buy.
I want a media player with a cool looking, fast and easy to use UI (my mom should be able to use it as well). very specifically something which would automatically download and display cover art of movies (scrolling through file names is so old fashion) from imdb. Don't mind going through YAMJ route. But am not going to manually put cover art in each and every folder.
I had almost finalised on A C Ryan POHD after looking at its 2.0 gui but I think it does not have bitstream (is passthrough & bitstream the same?). I want my onkyo HTS3300 to do the decoding. Is using coaxial the same as bitstream?
Also it has TrueHD as per specifications, No MA. Does it matter? At this point I don't think I have any movie with TrueHD or MA but I prefer to be future proof.
I believe the Himedia 600b has the largest fan following around here. But 9k is too much for me.
Internal HDD enclosure: doesn't matter
Lan: Yes
Wifi: No
Budget, preferred 5k. max 7k.
