Media Player for Sony Bravia KDL40HX800 3d LED

Hi all,
Last year I made the biggest mistake of my life of buying Sony LED 3D KDL40HX800. I have a huge collection of bluray movies on my 1 TB external HDD. All the movies are in mkv format. I don't know how to view them through Sony. Is there any media player that works with sony bravia? so hat i can plug in my HDD and watch mkv files easily. Plz suggest brand, if available.

first check a thread how to play mkv in sony....
if still dissatified..get a 3.5k asus o play mini.....high value for money...

1. Mkv is container, so you can use it to convert to Sony supportable format (mp4/avi) or You can go through one of the thread started by one of fm on playing Mkv in Sony tv's.

2. Buy any media player. Decent one in this forum suggested is asus o mini, wd media player, xtreamer player, himedia player. Price starts from 4k to 15k depending on features. ( I would recommed this as it is plug n play )
