Friends,

I just stumbled upon this website that sells a lot of things and that too at ridiculous prices. I was seriously flabbergasted to check out prices of some systems i am planning to buy. The prices are too cheap to be trusted. I am in a serious dilemma about this site. Could anybody throw some more light on this site? The site is,

http://www.asubee.com/Home-Audio-c-0-10382200.html

I did chat with the online representative and asked a few basic queries listed below?

1) Will the products be shipped to India?
Yes. Shipping cost would be 20 USD and insurance would be 8 USD.
2) Will the product run in India voltage condition of 220v-230v?
Again Yes. No need of step down transformer and stuff like that.
3) How much time would it take for the product to reach us once it is shipped?
3-5 Days.
4) Where are the products being shipped from?
Beijing
5) How about warranty and stuff?
International Warranty

After asking these basic queries the final thing that came to my mind, and i did ask it, was whether these products are manufactured in China or imported from somewhere else? I clearly told the lady that i am a bit hesitant when it comes to buy products from China. Also told her that i meant no offense . The lady said these products are not manufactured in China and are imported from outside China. This was unbelievable. Now, how do i believe this, considering the fact that Chinese are experts in "Copy Paste".

I would request you guys to check this website out and post your opinions.

Note: - I am planning to buy Onkyo 515 and Energy Take Classic 5.1 speakers. The cost of this combination on the site i posted above is a little above 20k INR. Unbelievable, isn't it? I can take the risk of buying it from this website. But, before that i am interested in knowing your opinion.

Cheers,
Gokul

Hey gokul,

The prices on the site are truly unbelievable! If this turns out to be a genuine seller, you deserve credit for a great find. As regards the shipping charges you mentioned, are they across the board or the minimum charges and increase depending on weight of parcel?

Since you are planning to order, I should warn you - If its too good to be true, it probably is. That said, I hope it is a genuine source and you end up with an awesome deal.

All the best.

I guess the shipping charges may vary according to the package. Not sure, but you just open the website and chat with one of the reps there. You will get an instant reply.

BTW, what i am thinking is why not just order the Energy Take Classic 5.1 system and see if they are genuine. I mean, it wont hurt too much even if they turn out to be fake. I can live with that.

Have to make up my mind though. Lets see. Waiting for some more comments/responses.

Site is not even opening ... I am sitting with blank white screen for past 5 minutes and the circle of google chrome tab is taking rounds like the earth goes around the sun.

The prices are unbelievable. I think the products are hardly genuine.
Chinese are famous for fakes. They would even replicate our beautiful Indian woman if some one is ready to buy.

If it is too good to believe to be true, don't. But if you have lot of money to throw in the gutter, please do try and give us a heads up. :)

The site does not open as the antivirus terms it as potentially dangerous ;)

One thing that can be done is to buy something really low cost to see if they deliver or not.

That can be a starting benchmark to see if they are genuine or not. Of course they might still fool us on the big ticket items. Just my thought.

I would also recommend google searching about the site to see if it is genuine or not.

Beware guys...
When I open this site from my VPN, where my public IP is from Hongkong, the site was not available...
But when I open from my BB India IP the site is accessible...
Something fishy... Pls verify by all means before placing any order....

Excellent observation Ajay and from a technical standpoint as well.

Cheers...

If it is too good to be true then probably it is not.

When I opened the website the whole page was offset to the left side. Seems like a poorly made site to dupe electronics shoppers.

Hi Gokul,

There is no place in the world to make cheaper products than china....starting from bathroom slippers to electronics. If it is out of china, might be some place near china sea ;-)

If you are wary of china products, then be cautious.

But dont be so wary against chinese products as today world cannot think of living w/o chinese products. Today 90% of PC compoenents are made in China ..take any brand of PCs..Harman Kardon/JBL makes all its Speaker Products in China...& the list is endless....

Not sure if there is anyway to tell if these products are genuine or not, unless someone uses it for sometime and confirms.

Why dont you directly ask them how are they selling at such a low price.

Even is someone imports any item, the person might not be able to confirm whether its genuine.

Id stay away from it.

This is a scam site. Clear and 100% fake.

1. Mcafee Secure logo on site is a cut and paste has 2011 year.

2. SSL volusion secure site logo is static and click here button does not work. Site is not SSL. Its not HTTPS.

3. The UpFront Logo is static. Its a just an image. It should be dynamic and if you click it you will be taken to UpFront site for cross verification.
