Mordaunt short aviano 8

Guys bought Mordaunt short aviano 8 with denon 1713..using only tower speakers and no immediate plans for making it home theatre..would be using primarily for music only.

Could you tell me how much burnout time is required for speakers and if someone can advice me on ohms and its importance in relation with speakers and avr...Thanks.

I think on MS Aviano Manuals I saw 36 hours of continuos playback facing one another with one speaker in reverse polarity. But for occassional playbacks 100- 150 hours minimum would be required. However if I am not mistaken you should have gone for 3113 at least for driving the best out of AV-8. The reason being that with two dedicated drivers for bass I do not think the AVR will have enough power to drive them like a stereo amp can. Although your mids and highs will be good but your bass response will be no where close to a sub.

Thanks saikat for your reply...You are right i should have gone for 3113 but it costs almost thrice than these...i was thinking to go for aviano 6 for 38 k and was offered aviano 8 for 45 k..so got tempted to go for it.

MS AViano 8 and 1713.. Kidding.! IMHO its not a good match. 1713 is quite underpowered for Aviano 8. U should hav gone for Aviano 6 or Denon 3113/2113. And for aviano 8 do u have a large carpet area to enjoy.

The point is price difference between 2113 and 1713...auditioned it with both aviano 6 and aviano 8..both were good.opted for aviano 8 for extra bass...will see after using for few days...so far liking it...no problem of space in master bedroom. I am sure if a person is buying avr like 3113 for 80k-90k will go for performance series than aviano.
