Dear all, a lot of us have good audio rigs and enjoy different sources. The same is with me. Recently I got myself a Chinese mp3/FM radio board with USB and SD Card slots, as a source to use for testing purposes (testing amplifiers, etc). It comes with a built in equalizer as well and I was surprised to find that it could make my ordinary mp3 files that were lying around, quite listenable. Over the weekend, got together with the kids and mounted it up in an old chocolate box, to have some fun and pass a good evening with some learning for them. Used some spares lying around and a PSU board salvaged from a discarded Nokia charger. Sounds surprisingly good, playing through the Aux input of my 3020. Thinking of building an OP amp based buffer for it as well. Here are some pics:

Thanks Ravi, I will be doing that. I have salvaged some thickish tin foil from some fast-food packaging for the purpose.
