There are various factors which affects sound by a cable. Most of these things have been discussed in detail on many forums.

What Murthy had done is spend countless hours trying all these out himself and testing the effects in his perfectly treated listening room.

Years of experience makes it easy for him to recommend certain speakers cables after he has gauged your music system. It is mostly educated calculations but it is fairly scientific.

In this case, the particular supra cables was not a match. If someone were to analyze both the combination in a Lab, I am sure you will find a reason. Well, who has the time?

Actually I would never have thought that my Supra cables were bad in any way. They are Tin plated OFC (purity of 5 nines). Many people will be absolutely happy to use them. Its just that the cables supplied by Mr Murthy are in a totally different league. Massive gauge, well insulated and well soldered to the banana plug terminations (not to mention the cable treatment). I don't know what the cable material is. Just not a fair comparison to the Supras.

Like I said earlier this is not a knock on the Supras. Mr Murthy's cables are just really good. I just didn't expect them to be this good.
