My objective is to hear 70% music and 30% movies. I have shortlisted the above combo to meet my objectives. The Def Tech SW sounds great with a frequency response of 18-150 KHZ. The MS 908i sounded the best among a long list of probables. I am getting the combination at Rs 1 lac (with bipolar surrounds (MS 903i) and MS centre- Avant range. The Onkyo 606 was released last week (an upgrade of the ever popular 605). I have a Sony 46" W series LCD.
I am also planning to go for Polk audio speakers in zone 2 (Rs 20k) with Def Tech Pro 1000 SW. This is costing me Rs 50k. Total costing works out to 1.5 lacs (without the LCD). Oh yes, my DVD will be Pioneer 600 which plays DVD audio and SACD also. This is costing me Rs 5750. (Included in the Rs 1.5 lacs package).
Before finalising, I would invite suggestions on my choice and if the costing is OK. The SW is costing Rs 28k.
