Hi,
I just want to share with you my current set up. This is really a small set up but is very enjoyable! After many years of going through cable clutters, trying to untangle the various cable management systems, I found this latest implementation to be very easy with respect to setting up and maintenance.
I am sure many of our local carpenters can make these wooden boxes. I used a normal 18mm plywood with an ivory sun mica. Got enough holes drilled on the top as well as side to have a non messy look. The front frost glass helps to hide the equipment partially and the remote works with out any problem. The top holes help is natural heat management. If need be a fan can be installed inside. So since the vent holes are on top the hotter equipment (AVR or power amps) need to be on top and hence the partition inside the wooden box is made asymmetric. Top has more space and bottom is slightly less tall but most of the other gear (I mention them below) do not need so much space anyways.
Hope you like the design and if you do so and want to use it for your set up please feel free to use the design cues!
