Yes, there is a thread on hfv with a discussion. I have rockwool - it was easier to source in a DIY thing for years now and no irritation or smells.

Slight disagreement on your analogy, cigarettes are highly likely bad for you and probably irritates those around you, while room treatment for audio with glasswool is not in that category . It is more like ajinomoto, works for you but unfairly feared. If someone does not want to use allijhwell of course.
