NAD T760 issues

Hi,

I bought the NAD T760 receiver paired with old Philips speakers. Till a few days back, I was facing problems connecting the speakers as it did not have the red and black mentioned on the wires. when i connected the speakers to the receiver, it worked fine in the stereo mode, however, started distorting after a few minutes.

Now, I finally figured out the +ve and -ve wires and connected them to the receiver. However, i still have the same issue. The speakers are compatible.

Can you please help.

You said the speakers are old. That could be the issue. If you can borrow a set of speakers from someone, see if you can isolate the issue - amp or speakers.

Yes, that seems like the right thing to do. The support people at NAD say that there could be an issue with capacitors in the DSP module. I'll get the speakers checked before I give out the amp for repair. thanks Venkat.
