Hi:

Naim, yeah the name says it all. Very good DAC indeed considering it uses mono Burr-Brown digital to analogue converter chips as used in the CD555 cdp.

The price could be easily in the 1.50k to 1.70k.

Sorry no comparison. Naim sounds much smoother and detailed than Arcam ....but comes with a hefty price tag. Arcam gives you about 80% at lower price

Hence the cheaper alternative. 80% performance for 1/7th the price is not bad imo.
