I got 85" version for 2.3L/Chennai around Christmas, have pinged the guy, will DM you his details if he got stock. What was the price you paid? And which city? Do let me know about the C72K. thanks a ton!
Is FK black generally worh it? I am seeing 2.69 for the C8K 85 incher on the site now. so 2.18 sounds like a huge discount on that!TCL C8K 85 is 2.18 right now on FK Black on Republic Day sale. 75 is generally 1.41-1.45L with FK Black. Black as some additional coupon for 10k.
However, stock availaibility varies by the PIN Code.
I bought the TCL 75C8K from FK during the Diwali Sale with 2 years oneassist extended warranty for 1.53
Picture quality is excellent, immersive.
@mr_grump5 did you get a firmware upgrade? I am still on v509 which came shipped with the TV.
Why aren't they releasing it officially in India? Is it safe, bug free to upgrade?I updated to V590 with Android 14 via USB as soon as I got the TV, hardly use the Shield since the native TCL apps are better/snappier.
The 'Super Resolution' setting really helps in content <1080p/i, my only gripe is the remote so ordered a backlit remote from Amazon US.
Hi! could you tell me which model of backlit remote you picked up from the US please? thank you!I updated to V590 with Android 14 via USB as soon as I got the TV, hardly use the Shield since the native TCL apps are better/snappier.

TCL have weird update strategy, Russia/Eur/APAC received the update and the users capture it using logcat and share it in a telegram group, these are pretty safe, you just have to do a local upgrade via System settings from a Fat32 formatted USB drive(just need to make sure drive contains only the downloaded zip file of the firmware). Why aren't they releasing it officially in India? Thanks

I am also in same situation.. And selected U7Q but bit confused with Q7N series... 10-15k less than previous.. But U7Q looks great... Now main part I am struggling about the service.. If anyone gone through any kind of service from hisense please leave feedbackHi folks, it's been years since I posted here but I am back for pretty much the same reason I joined these forums in 2008, I am looking to buy a TV (back then I ended up buying a 42" Samsung plasma TV). I want to get a 75" mini LED model, and the TCL options seem the most enticing. I wanted to get the Q6C, but then I saw many bad reviews on Amazon and another thread here about a defective piece and that spooked me.
I went to the TCL store here (CIT Nagar, Chennai), and they quoted 1,06,000 for the mostly comparable C6K (mini LED, 512 zone dimming, and apparently 3 GB RAM unlike the Q6C which has 2 GB, according to the guy in the store.
He also has the C72K (way better specs and very well reviewed), for 1,35,000, but with a cashback on my credit card it comes down to 1,27,000 - so effectively a 21k premium over the C6K (no cashback on that). I need advice on the following:
1) Does it make sense to buy it from the store despite the price not being that much better than online? The chap said they'll directly help with service requests etc.
2) Are there better deals available for these models? Is there any other place I should be looking?
3) Is the C72K worth the 21k premium over the C6K?
4) Are there in fact other models I should be considering, such as from Hisense? (I looked at the Hisense U7Q and that seems pretty good as well, even though with fewer dimming zones than the C6K. should i consider that?)
Thanks in advance for all your help!
