Need amp suggestion for Wharfedale Diamond 12.2

Hey guys

I will get my hands on the Diamond 12.2 (used for 1 year+) from a friend of friend this weekend as I'm looking to upgrade my home audio experience. Currently I do not have any setup. This will be the first set of speakers I buy, please do recommend me a good amp that can power this speakers.

1. Are there any other good options in this price range (30-32k) for bookshelf. I'm a little bit sceptical spending this much for a year old speaker? I did listen to it and it sounds amazing.
2. Need a good amp to power these speakers. Would be nice if I can get a subwoofer out too in this amp? Though I feel like it wouldnt be required for D12.2
3. (Chennai folks) are there good service centers that can repair speakers/amp if at all the situation arises? Any tip would be appreciated

I am having Marantz PM5005 amplifier, when i was asking for matching speakers , couple of them advised following speakers-Amp match.

Amps from nad, rotel and arcam suits for Wharfadale tone.
Marantz suits for Elac or q acoustics, dali.

Wait for other members response on matching amplifier. You will get more input from the people who owns the combo to guide you well.

Please note nothing of the above amp fits in your 30K budget, What i am suggesting is used gear, Or else try hifimart for any entry level amplifier. Speak to anil of Hifimart, he is very nice person and helps you to find your amp.

Hifimart is recommended a lot here in many threads. Does this forum have an affiliation? I saw some good deals in avshack and avstore as well. But not sure how trustable these websites are. I just wish we had a walk in store to experience products before hand in Chennai as well

I have no idea on wiim amp. Personally bought most of my audio products from hifimart,they are genuine and most of our forum members had very good experience with hifimart. Price wise also good compare to other online dealers.
Try to talk to hifimart,you will get more clarity on what to buy for your requirement.

I have been using wharefedal diamond with marantz 6005. I like this combo. But it doesn't have sub out though I never want any such. Again, marantz 6005 doesn't have wifi or bluetooth inbuilt. I think thesedays apart from having analogue ( TT, Tape deck, CDP) you may like streaming so try to get an amp which has streaming capability. However, you can add a streamer with marantz in future. I have added wiim pro as I stream occasionally.

This is great but unfortunately I will be using the speakers with my TV as the source and my TV only have hdmi arc. No RCA ports. I can definitely get an entry level AVR but I don't know if they can power these speakers. Heard from a local dealer that even x1800H won't be able to power the Diamond 12.2 which immediately shifted me towards the wiim amp path

I spoke to Mr Anil from Hifimart regarding the speakers and amp. He said the speakers are not in stock yet. He also suggested me to take a look at Elac 3.0 debut 6.3

No, i am saying that you can use marantz amp with your wharefedal diamond speakers for two channel audio. I am not talking about any avr.Another pocket friendly option is Norge amp .
