Hi all,

We are planning to create a Home Theater setup in the hall in Mumbai.

Room Size : 34 ft x 18 ft x 9 ft

I would be using the room for Movies (70%) and Music (30%)

Setup 1
Fronts: Sonetto VIII G2 + Sonetto Center G2
Surrounds: Sonetto PC 562P 4 pc
Atmos: Sonetto PC 562P 4 pc
Subs: SVS SB 4000 2 pc
Amp: Emotiva XPA-3 Gen3
Receiver: Denon X4800H

Setup 2:
B&W 702 S3 Tower Pair
HTM71 S3 Center
Surrounds And Atmos - 8 pc CCM682
Subs – SVS SB 4000 2 pc
Amp - Emotiva XPA-3 Gen3
Receiver - Cinema 40

I would want tower speakers.

Kindly suggest if the above 2 options work, and which would be best, can go for a mix of both or any other suggestions are welcome.

Have you also considered KEF?
Consider getting a demo then you will be able to make a better decision

Your configs look good, also consider room correction. Dirac live and bass control would be great.

I agree with the above post. Pls use KEF in the mix. I found B&W to be a bit harsh on the high frequency except the diamond series and the Sonus felt a bit dry. We all have different ears and different tastes.
I would keep the Receiver to Denon 3800 and have power amps in the mix to get the right drive for the speakers

Thanks everyone. We have demoed and liked these 2 speakers, leaning more towards the B&W since the sonetto’s sound a little less punchy.

I have taken a 3 ch power amp for the fronts and I think the denon Has Dirac, if we purchase the software separately.

Is the woofer option good?

Also 3800h is a good idea, saves money. you can put that towards amplifier.

yes with Denon, you will need to purchase both dirac live and dirac bass control separately, costs 500 USD total.

Also you will want to purchase UMIK-1 for Dirac Calibration, though the Audyssey mic may also suffice.

If you don't want to spend on dirac, there is community solution called A1 evo express, explore that.

Purchase the NEW Audiolab 6000A MkII Integrated Amplifier at a special offer price.
