Need help on improving sound

It's a weird budget split, an amp which isn't half expensive as the dac? (Assuming you paid under 50k for the lux) ;) I haven't used the exact model but all luxmans (more than 5) had very airy treble. If the object sounds thin, either speakers must be brought closer to each other or must be more toed in. In both cases soundstage width suffers. Bringing them forward makes soundstage more 3d, but tonality suffers (becomes more aggressive as the sound doesn't decay to that smoothness that you have now.) Also bass may suffer.

Again everything is subjective to the speaker used. There is no hard and fast rule, just try out in your room is the only solution.if treble is rolled off , then the caps are having an issue. But again I have only experience with the older pre - Alpine L series..

These speakers should be kept close to the wall. I dont see any probelm with bass or soundstage..just that i find the high frequency and female voice a tad but too thin...it could.be me..my last hifi setup was lin turn table and naim amp etc..then after a four years of gap I have come back to hifi and started with entirety new set up..i think the amp if fine. Its the speakers or the dac. I think im expexting too much from little mojo
