pls see pg 53 onwards is your manual:
The projector stops responding to all controls
` If possible, turn off the projector, then unplug the power cord
and wait at least 60 seconds before reconnecting power.
` Check that Keypad Lock is not activated by trying to control
the projector with the remote control.
` Ensure that the AV mute feature is not turned on.

` Ensure all the cables and power connections are correctly and
securely connected as described in the Installation section.
` Ensure the pins of connectors are not crooked or broken.
` Check if the projection lamp has been securely installed.

Thanks chief,
I tried everything as per manual.it was working perfectly in last 15 days seen 2-3 movies. There was no problem and suddenly last Tuesday this problem appeared. After approaching Amazon, optoma I had given the projector to repair. Let's see .will update and thanks again for help.

Guys happy to inform my projector is up after repair locally.:yahoo: Thanks for all the support.

Congratulations poppy. What went wrong in the first place? How much did you have to spend for the repair?

Thanks chief as per the technician it was not shut down properly and due to this some issue with power supply and pcb the damage was around 17k.

Poppy - Glad to know that the problem is resolved. Enjoy big screen movie watching again.

Would be helpful to others if you can share that local repair shop name/contact etc.

Given that more and more folks are getting PJs from US, it may be helpful to build a directory of repair centers in each city as authorized dealers may refuse to service these imported units.

HI,

Please use an UPS or any kind of backup for the projector.

This way you can make sure for longer run of your projector and lamp.

Good to hear that you got it fixed. Chanduwala is correct, you should (if you havent already) protect this kind of equipment for long and trouble free enjoyment.

Thanks George and Chanduwala, I had a word with my dealer on this but said that it's not required as there is hardly any power failure in mumbai city .he had done lots of instinstallation and he had not installed anywhere in home segment so now in two minds.

So your PJ failed bcos of any power failure or due to voltage fluctuation?

Invest some 5k on UPS, it should give you peace of mind long term..

Thanks as per the technician power failure not due to fluctuations but it's not properly shut down when u switch off the projector through remote (mine is wall mounted ) u have to wait for the indicator light to turn red and then u switched off the main switch .if u switched off main switch immediately the cooling fan stopped in between and the heat of the lamp will leads to damage the power supply and pcb.
