Dear all
I have bought a new Yamaha R - 803 N

1. It sounds warm and good for me not like a Arcam or other big brands but its perfect for me.
2. Lot of connectivity options.. bluetooth, wifi, network server,USB, Net Radio, spotify etc.. which is very good.
3. I have connected the amp to wireless and wired ethernet

But,Connection with Musiccast app is the real challenge now, i am trying connect Musiccast through my samsung Note 8 android phone.

As per the Musiccast instruction, by holding the connect button in amp, i am getting the "Musiccast Setup" SSID in wireless screen, once click connect its connecting and it guides me to go to the musiccast app and enter my wifi password. Once I enter its shows connecting screen and atlast gives errior code 20305..

I tried the options provided in Av forums snd other forums but no luck.

Any one having experience on connecting MUSICCAST app in Yamaha AVR, AMP or streamer. Please guide me.

Congrats for your purchase.

Reg_ music cast issue .
May be something wrong with your wifi spec / Configuration ( 2.4Ghz/5Ghz )
U can give it a try as mentioned below.
1.U can try with other mobile phone / Tab
2.Reset the router, reconfigure it and try.
3.Possible change the SSID and password on your router may be some characters are not accepted from your password !
4.After resetting the router , Reset your receiver and reconfigure it again
5.Last option ,You can try the receiver in other location may be in your friend home to conclude issue.

Thanks Kalyan.. so the latest development is musiccast connecting with wired ethernet but not wireless lemme try your suggestion of changing the SSID and reconfigure the router

Thanks Kalyan your points helped:)
1. Changed the SSID to simple one
2. Changed the pwd to with alphanumeric
3. Changed the security type to WPA auto personal
Earlier it was WPA2personal...

Not sure which worked :) but its working:)

Congratulations on your Purchase of RN803N.
I would really look forward to your review with Pros & Cons.
I am eyeing this amp to plug with my newly bought B&W 606.

Due to this pandemic, getting an audition is difficult and risky. So your feedback would be of great help !!

Most likely, Pt3 might have done the trick.

i had the same problem my music cast app was not working after changing the Router.
1. Retained the same SSID as before
2.same password as before
3. interestingly what worked out here is Changed the security type to WPA auto personal
Earlier it was WPA2personal and the Music cast App worked successfully

For excellent sound that won't break the bank, the 5 Star Award Winning Wharfedale Diamond 12.1 Bookshelf Speakers is the one to consider!
